Michael Gaal is a Special Olympics Pennsylvania athlete from Bethlehem. He began his journey through sport in 1977 at the age of 7 and is one of Pennsylvania's longest-tenured athletes. In 1991 he won seven medals at the Special Olympics World Summer Games in Minneapolis-St. Paul and in 1996 he was a member of the inaugural class inducted into the Special Olympics Pennsylvania Hall of Fame.
And... TODAY is his 51st birthday. This is his story. We hope you enjoy watching this short film as much as we enjoyed spending time with Michael and his family.
