Making a Hand Forged Rose Blacksmithing

Описание: In this video I'm showing how to make a steel rose. This kind of decorative metal flowers
can be attached to other items like sculptures, wine holders, wall decorations, gates etc.

There are many different ways to make a metal rose and each one will be different from one another. Every rose is unique.

In this case I made it from 4 circles cut out from 2mm thick sheet of steel. The bottom peace is a bit larger than the rest. I marked the center to each peace and drilled holes for attaching them to each other with a rivet.

To get the circles to look more like rose petals I just divided the circles into 5 parts and cut lines into each one. Also trimmed the corners a bit smoother with regular steel cutting scissors. After that I added some texture on the petals by hammering them with the sharper part of the hammer.

The rest was just heating the petals and shaping them to look more like a real rose.
