We'll start by exploring the Data Extraction area, where you can extract data from your data source and view the results in Excel. You'll learn about the four types of data extraction:

1. Summary Link: Create a query that returns a single aggregated value.
2. Summary Report: Generate reports containing a summary of aggregated data, grouped by specific fields.
3. Detail Report: Retrieve a detailed listing from your database into an Excel worksheet, with one row for each record.
4. Reference Link: Use this to return values of a single record, with a single formula outputting multiple data items.

Next, we'll dive into the Recalculate tool, which allows you to update the query definitions with the most recent values from your data source and recalculate them to display the latest output.

Moving on, we'll cover the Data Analysis section, which includes Drilling Down, Breakout, and Expand functionalities. These powerful features enable you to analyze your data in depth, drilling down to transaction-level details, creating dependent worksheets for each item, and toggling between expanded results and totals.
