LAGOA AZUL ROAD - Why do motorcyclists love it so much?

Описание: The Lagoa Azul (Blue Lagoon) Road - the N9-1 - is about 7 km long and crosses the southern slope of the Serra de Sintra, between Linhó and Malveira da Serra.

It is famous for having once been a legendary section of the Rally of Portugal until a tragic accident in 1986 meant that World Rally Championship cars would never pass through there again.

Nowadays, in addition to serving the local population, it is used as a quick way to reach the road that leads to the beaches and Cabo da Roca - the westernmost point of continental Europe - avoiding traffic from Cascais to the south or Sintra to the north.

It is also extremely popular and frequently used by the motorcycling community in the Lisbon region.

It was this road - the Lagoa Azul Road - that was used to film the images in this video, my second experience with a 360º camera, the AKASO 360. In addition, I also used a GoPro Hero10 and a Garmin Virb.

The motorbike was my Honda Africa Twin and the helmet was the Nexx X.WED3.
