The craziness begins when Isabella leaves Italy to find her lover. She is shipwrecked in Algiers, a land of magnificent palaces and lavish harems, one of which is owned by Mustafa. Mustafa, who is bored with his wife Elvira, wants instead an exciting Italian girl for his harem. Elvira still loves Mustafa and doesn’t want to leave. Isabella works her feminine wiles on Mustafa and schemes to find a way to rescue Lindoro and return with him to Italy.
