Most of the western (or non-asian) gaming companies are collapsing.
The new strategy to cope with expensive development costs seems to be half assed "remakes". This means re-releasing a 20 year old game, with half assed Unreal 5 assets slapped on and selling it for near full price.
Oblivion was the first taste of this, but seeing similar with Halo shows this is a Microsoft strategy to help them hit their 30% profit target, and not purely a Bethesda thing.
Expect more of this across the industry with new, genuine content being scarce from western developers.
