Long Vowel "ō" Spelling Patterns
1. "o"
Simple "o" that sounds like "ō".
Examples: no, go, so, rose
2. "o_e"
"Magic e" or silent "e" pattern where "e" makes the "o" say its name.
Examples: home, robe, rope, joke
3. "oa"
"oa" in the middle of words to make the "ō" sound.
Examples: boat, goat, oats, coat
4. "ow"
