Ever wondered what is the basis of the demand curve? Well, the answer is the demand curve is the marginal benefit curve. In other words, an individuals marginal benefit curve (or the horizontal sum of all market participants' marginal benefit curves) is the demand curve. This is true if we plot the marginal benefit in descending order. This video is made for 1st year college students or AP/IB Economics students. It focuses on foundational economic concepts.
