This tutorial aims to introduce a methodology to find optimal energy consumption configurations for parallel applications running on HMP. It details the method and demonstrates how to use the IPerfEcT platform to collect power and performance data measurements an embedded device to fit the performance and energy models. The tutorial also intends to show how to use this information to make better runtime decisions using Nornir. Finally, a live demo will demonstrate the use of IPerfEcT and Nornir with some reference examples and case studies.
