In this video we talked about why feeding a bee pollen substitute is important if you are trying to expand and grow the number of hives in your apiary. This video shows the bees appreciating our bee pollen feeder made from a typical storage tote most of us have around the house.
Bees will chose the natural pollen and nectar from plants if it is available. Putting out a substitute helps them get through periods of lacking resources called deaths which are highly dependant on weather. This design allows us to leave the pollen feeder in place rain or shine. Remember, easy gets done.
