August 15, 2025: Day 12 of walking and day 14 total on the Tour du Mont Blanc. Today, we were hitting the infamous 'ladders'!
We started our morning by walking until we were able to hitch a ride with an ATV to Montroc. Ann Marie's knee was really hurting her so we thought it would be best to cut off a bit of the morning flat terrain by grabbing a ride.
We then started the climb...up, up, up until we came to the ladders. There are 9 sets of these ladders that scale straight up the side of rock faces. If you don't like heights, this is not for you!
We finally made it to our destination for the night - Refuge Lac Blanc.
