Описание: Kosmaj Monument is a Brutalist concrete memorial located on the summit of Mali Vis peak (626 m) on Kosmaj Mountain, approximately 40 km southeast of Belgrade, Serbia. It was completed in 1971 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Kosmaj-Posavina Partisan Detachment, established on July 2, 1941, during World War II. The monument was designed by sculptor Vojin Stojić and architect Gradimir Medaković as the winning entry in an all-Yugoslav public competition.
The structure stands about 30–40 meters tall, composed of five separate, double-pointed concrete fins arranged in a circular, radiating pattern that forms a star-like shape resembling a lightning spark. It is also known as "The Spark of Freedom" (Slobodarska iskra), symbolizing the beginning of the resistance struggle. A bronze relief plate around the base lists the regions represented: Kosmaj, Mladenovac, Groča, Smederevo, Podunav, Jasenica, Pomorav, Belgrade, Posav, and Vračar.
