While much of Bangkok's rail traffic has moved to the new terminal, this beautiful 100-year-old station remains a monumental piece of Thailand's past.

Bangkok Train Station, widely known as Hua Lamphong, is located in the Pathum Wan district in the center of Bangkok.

Here are the specific details regarding its location:

Position: It sits at the intersection of Rama IV Road, Rong Mueang Road, and Maha Nakhon Road. It is positioned just to the east of the Phadung Krung Kasem Canal.

Proximity to other landmarks: It is situated right on the edge of Bangkok's main Chinatown (Yaowarat) and just northeast of the Talat Noi neighborhood, making it very easy to visit both areas in the same day.

Access Points: The station is extremely easy to reach because it is directly connected to the Hua Lamphong MRT (subway) station on the Blue Line. You can simply take the subway and use the underground walking tunnels that lead straight up into the train station's main hall.
