The visit of UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Delhi has irked Pakistan. Saudi Arabia, which signed a defense agreement with Pakistan last September, is reportedly preparing to form an "Islamic NATO." Pakistan fears that the UAE President's visit to Delhi could jeopardize the formation of this Islamic alliance. Immediately after the meeting between the UAE President and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar telephoned the Saudi Arabian Foreign Minister.
