The Christmas White Rose With 44871 - Saturday 18th November 2023

Описание: Saturday 18th November saw the start of the Christmas Market trains with the Railway Touring Company's The Christmas White Rose to York.

44871 has a busy few weeks ahead & here we join the loco after the water stop in Huntingdon & head north towards Peterborough.

I have just finalised a new system for the GoPro batteries which I had tested previously at home but unfortunately I forgot to delete the test footage on the camera so this hampered & meant the footage that I have managed to capture is a lot less than I planned.

However, the GoPro still manages to capture (just as you will see!) Mallards speed record sign on the climb of Stoke Bank.

The weather was very wet first thing on departure from Kings Cross bus the further north we headed, it gradually improved so the footage to Peterborough is slightly hampered but on leaving Peterborough, the weather remained dry.

The footage ends after Peascliffe Tunnel due to the memory card being full.

Many thanks for watching & please look out for the next video which shows 44871 on the return to Southall after we had to overnight on the Nene Valley Railway due to engineering works which prevented us from getting back to the West London depot.
