Day 48

It's over. It's all over.
When we climbed the remains of the Demon Train, Cole and Malladus were at the top waiting for us. Zelda ran to the end of the train to grab Malladus, meanwhile I had to protect her from Cole.
Cole tried to possess the phantom, but I stopped him. Zelda was afraid of the magic rats he kept sending at her though. Over time, Zelda wasn't afraid anymore since she knew I would get rid of them.
Zelda grabbed Malladus. He tried to throw her off, but I was able to shoot him in the shoulder with a light arrow. I tried to help Zelda with Malladus but a blast knocked me away. I blacked out.
I woke up on solid ground. Zelda had lost her phantom. Malladus and Cole were here too. The light arrow worked! Malladus left Zelda's body. She immediately tried to enter, but she couldn't. Byrne managed to protect Zelda from Malladus which gave her enough time to regain her body. I caught her as she fell. I'm so happy she got her body back! She gave me a big hug!
But there wasn't time to celebrate. Malladus...destroyed Byrne. He also chose Cole as a new vessel. Zelda had to charge her mysterious power. I kept Malladus busy, but it was difficult. The meteors he sent were faster and faster until I had no choice but to take the full blast of a bunch of meteors! I held Zelda as the meteors came at me, but they disappeared right before they touched me.
Zelda and I appeared in some kind of magic room. Zelda told me to play the Spirit Flute with her singing. The song was simple and there was a lot of power within it. It wasn't anything like the Lokomo songs I had played before. I heard the other Lokomo instruments joining the song.
A light flashed and we were back near Malladus. The song revealed a weak point on Malladus's back. Zelda told me to distract Malladus while she shot him with a light arrow. I gave her the bow and immediately started distracting Malladus. He immediately turned away from Zelda and tried to attack me. That gave Zelda enough time to shoot him right in the back. This revealed a jewel on Malladus's forehead.
I stabbed the Lokomo Sword right into it. Malladus was pushing back, but Zelda was at my side and pushing the sword into the jewel with me. Together we shattered the jewel and destroyed Malladus for good.
I was glad it was over but...Byrne...
Anjean appeared near us. She said that Byrne isn't fully destroyed since Lokomos can't disappear that easily. She restored his spirit. He won't remember what happened, but he'll be better. Anjean told us that the Lokomos aren't needed anymore, so they are going to the heavens. She told Zelda to protect the land and told me to help her.
Zelda and I are sad to see them go, but we know it's necessary. And we will protect this land together! The people celebrated as soon as Zelda made it back to the castle. I decided to continue training as a soldier since I want to protect Zelda and this world!
Zelda watches me train everyday. I'm always happy to see her and she's always happy to see me. Alfonzo is planning to help train me as well. He wants to bring Niko over as well. He's so proud of me.
Zelda wants to see me now. I wonder what she wants to talk to me about.
