Welcome to the begin of the full ASMR reading of A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. After 24 days of uncovering the dark secrets behind this masterpiece, today we open the book together. This story has always been a huge inspiration to me. Every year, I make it a tradition to read the book or watch the movie adaptations during the holidays. This is actually my first time reading it aloud in English! I hope I haven't made too many mistakes, and that you enjoy listening to it as much as I am enjoying recording it.
This is Stave One: Marley’s Ghost.
In this first chapter, we enter the foggy streets of Victorian London to meet the cold-hearted Ebenezer Scrooge. On this terrifying Christmas Eve, he receives a visit from his dead partner, Jacob Marley, dragging the heavy chain he forged in life.
