Many nomadic herders in Renchinkhlumbe spend the winter in a small river valley known as the Khoroo. This is because the valley has a favorable microclimate for winter herding, including warmer temperatures and less snow.
In this video, I give you a tour of the winter camp our host families uses to herd their animals each year.
