We sold this jeep in 2019 and below is the description then. Since 2019 the new owner towed the CJ behind his RV and upgraded numerous items while using it sparingly.
The new updates include: 4 wheel disc brakes, a new front bumper with an Apex 12000 winch, high lift jack, car cover, rear tow hitch, front spot lights, new sound system with CD and Blue tooth, rear tow lights, extra cloth doors and Roadmaster Nighthawk towing A frame bar.

This Jeep CJ-5 Laredo was purchased new in 1980 from the Sacramento Jeep dealer. (See original picture of the “pink slip”) It was primarily used as the family vehicle for trips to Lake Tahoe. It was stored since 1996 in the family's ranch in San Luis Obispo.


It had approximately 13k original miles when it was brought out of storage and was brought back to life by the original owner with additional upgrades and enhancements. The date and mileage stamp is indicated underneath the hood. A 304 V-8 motor is paired to a T5 transmission (5 speed).

No expense was spared : Upgrades included: new front and rear Dana 60 one piece axles, ARB lockers installed (see glove box) ,the brand new best top soft top system and mean green alternator and starter.

Many other fine details have been added like many NOS and quality OEM parts. The suspension tracks straight with no wander like many CJ's. The 5 speed transmission shifts like a dream.

New clutch, brakes, tires, suspension, Tuffy center lock console. Custom anti-theft (kill switch). Chrome one piece steering shaft by ABS. Front and rear LED headlights and tail lights. Electrical fuel pump with upgraded 20 gallon gas tank (rare to find). Mean green set up alternator (lifetime guarantee with lifetime guarantee Alternator by mean green company. New catalytic convertor. All smog parts present. This is fast and a blast to drive!


All services and upgrades been completed by Jeeps R US here in Laguna Beach. To build a Jeep to these specifications would cost over $70k plus the cost of purchasing a unit that is restore ready.
