CONSCIOUS EMPATHY

Описание: Conscious empathy is an exercise helping you develop your ability to emphasise.
This technique is used to be more empathetic towards others.
It is especially practical if you have noticed that it is easy for you to empathise with people you love, like and know very well.
However, if you see that empathising with someone who is very different than yourself is difficult, this is an exercise for you.
Conscious empathy is also a way of diffusing your frustration and the negative emotions we have to other people.
Very often we do not realise how badly we are influenced by our own negative feelings we have to other people.
Sometimes, when we feel that we have been hurt by someone, we hold a grudge against them very deeply.
The problem is that this negative feeling we hold for too long starts rotting in us.
It literally is toxic!
The most effective way of getting rid of it is to emphasise with the person who hurt us.
This exercise is also very often used in nonviolent communication courses by Marshall Rosenberg.
