All villagers might be islanders in New Horizons, but that's not the case in the original. One of 18 islanders lived alone on the island associated with each town. Note: In 2003, Dōbutsu no Mori e+ (Animal Forest e+), which was only released in Japan, added another 18 islanders. So the series had a total of 36 islanders, but the 18 in this video are the originals.
