Shoprite Holdings (SHP) - Operational Update Q1 ended September 2025
• Group sales increased by 8.0% for the first quarter ended September 2025.
• The core Supermarkets RSA segment saw a 7.9% sales increase, demonstrating continued out-performance compared to the rest-of-market growth by a factor of 1.7x (as measured by NielsenIQ).
• Selling price inflation for the Supermarkets RSA segment continued its decrease, registering at 1.4% for the quarter, significantly lower than the 5.1% reported food/non-alcoholic beverages inflation reported by Stats SA.
