Qantas First Class – Hong Kong to Sydney (QF 128) – Airbus A380-800

Описание: In this video, we have a look at a Qantas First Class flight from Hong Kong to Sydney on board an Airbus A380-800.

QF 127/128 is normally operated by a Boeing 747-400, but during peak travel season (Eg. Christmas, New Year, etc.) a much larger Airbus A380-800 is used instead to cope with the increased passenger numbers. This means that I’m able to secure a First Class seat on this flight!

After checking in at the Qantas First Class counter, I relax in the Qantas Hong Kong Lounge. Although there’s no separate lounge for First Class passengers, the lounge agent gives me a personal escort and hands me over to the Lounge Concierge who personally oversees my care while I’m there. First Class guests have reserved tables for them in a prime location in the lounge. Table service is also very attentive!

Once I board the A380, I take a look at the First Class product which is still very good after being rolled out a decade ago. I review the hard product in immense detail during the flight – this includes the seat positions, IFE system, massage function, storage, lighting, ventilation, etc. The lie-flat bed is one of the most comfortable in the skies. The comfortable bedding ensemble used in First Class is from Sheridan. Martin Grant pyjamas and amenity kits are provided as well.

During the 9 hour red-eye flight, I’m served two meals – a dinner is served shortly after take-off, and breakfast is served just prior to landing. The First Class menu is designed by Australian chef, Neil Perry, and the food/drinks are served on elegant tableware designed by David Caon.

I review the Qantas A380 First Class product again on the longer flagship QF 1 between Sydney-Singapore-London. Stay tuned for that impressive review!
