Описание: The Medicine Show is a great folk song written by Mike Dunbar. It was sung around Chicago in the 1970's. This is Michael Miles' clawhammer banjo version of the tune that features jazz flute, played by Lloyd King. This is Miles debut CD, released in 1990. When Pete Seeger heards this he wrote Miles a letter saying, "of all recordings I've heard in all my 70 years, this is one of the most beautiful---it is enough to make me want to learn the banjo all over again." These tracks all feature clawhammer banjo duets, where Miles plays both parts, along with instrumentation that includes marimba, accordian, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bass & flute. The banjo transcriptions are available from Mel Bay in a book called "Counterpoint."
