If you are new to Tiki and want to make REAL Tiki Cocktails without sacrificing ingredients, quality, or deliciousness, start with these 5 cocktails. Recipes for each cocktail are at the bottom of this episode's description.

If you don't have any bottles of rum yet, I'd suggest starting with these 3 to make all of the cocktails featured in this video:
1. Don Q Cristal
2. Chairman's Reserve
3. Plantation or Planteray OFTD

For modifiers, bitters and liqueurs, you'll need:
1. Angostura Bitters
2. All Spice Dram - I prefer St Elizabeth
3. John D Taylor's Velvet Falernum
4. Orange Curacao - I prefer Grand Marnier

Moonkist Coconut

¼ oz falernum (7.5 ml)

Ancient Mariner

½ oz grapefruit juice (15 ml)

1 oz Chairman’s Reserve Rum (30 ml)

Puka Punch
Smuggler’s Cove adaptation from the Tiki Ti
1 dash Angostura bitters
1 oz fresh lime juice (30 ml)
¾ oz fresh orange juice (22.5 ml)
¾ oz pineapple juice (22.5 ml)
1 oz honey syrup (30 ml)
¾ oz passion fruit syrup (22.5 ml)
½ oz velvet falernum (15 ml)
1 oz Don Q Cristal Rum (30 ml)
1 oz Chairman’s Reserve Rum (30 ml)
1 oz OFTD Rum (30 ml)

Mai Tai
Trader Vic
1 oz lime juice (30 ml)
½ oz orgeat (15 ml)
½ oz orange curacao (15 ml)
1 oz Don Q Cristal Rum (30 ml)
¾ oz OFTD Rum (22.5 ml)

Simple Syrup
I usually make rich simple which is 2 parts sugar to 1 part water. If a recipe calls for straight simple (1 part sugar to 1 part water) I will sub in my 2:1 rich but use a little less.

Demerara
Mine is 2 parts Demerara sugar to 1 part water

Passion Fruit Syrup
I used Real today, but you can make it with equal parts passion fruit puree to a 2:1 simple syrup

Honey Syrup
2 parts honey to 1 part water
