School bus driver and monitor assaulted by parent

Описание: KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WKRC) - Investigators were looking at video that showed an assault on a school bus driver and bus monitor near Scott High School.

Barbara Dobbs, a parent, allegedly boarded their bus Thursday, October 27, and hit them both. There was a verbal altercation between children on the bus, Dobb's child got off them bus and that was when she got on and confronted the bus driver.

Both the driver and the bus monitor work for the Kenton County School District. The district shared the video with investigators.

Jess Dykes, director of public information and community engagement for Kenton County School District, said, "This is completely unacceptable. There were students on the bus, there were injuries to the bus driver and the bus monitor. Our thoughts are prayers are with the bus driver and the monitor this evening. We are also upset that the bus driver, the monitor and the students had to endure this."

Dykes continued, "Certainly it’s disappointing that a parent would come on the bus and assault our bus driver and monitors that are so hard working and do this job because they love our students and it’s unacceptable.”

Dobbs is charged with third degree assault on a school employee or school volunteer.
