Crafted by the renowned bartender Harry McElhone at Paris's Harry's Bar during the Prohibition era, this iconic Boulevardier cocktail emerged as a fusion of his American heritage and European influence. Marrying bourbon with Campari and sweet red vermouth, McElhone concocted a classic cocktail that boasts a rich and intense flavour profile.
Instructions:
1. Fill a mixing glass with ice.
2. Combine 45ml of Brussels Reserve whiskey, 30ml of Campari, and 30ml of 1757 Vermouth Di Torino Rosso in the glass.
3. Stir gently for about 30 seconds to chill and harmonise the ingredients.
4. Strain the drink into a chilled coupe or rocks glass.
5. Express and garnish with an orange peel.
