Scientists in Scotland and China have joined forces in a 350 million US dollar attempt to unlock the mysteries of the giant panda’s bamboo-based diet. The study could enhance the prospects of the endangered creature’s long-term survival. However, as CCTV reports from the Scottish capital Edinburgh, the science – which involves analyzing the DNA in panda poo - is not for the faint-hearted.
