Damoon has been visiting from Montreal and has been my guest here in Istanbul for the past week. After spending several nights playing music together, we finally decided to record one of our improvised sessions.
Even though we had never met before, being Iranian and sharing deep musical roots made it feel as if we had been playing together for years.
There was an immediate connection — in listening, in silence, and in sound.

This 30-minute meditation session with Duduk and Viola is the result of that gathering.
