The Centre for Law and Policy Research held the 3rd edition of the International Conference on Transgender Rights and the Law on the 13th and 14th of September, 2019.
The second speaker on the panel titled 'Post Navtej Johar : Moving beyond Decriminalisation?', Justice G. R. Swaminathan of the Madras High Court spoke about the right to marry of transgender persons and recommended steps at the level of the judicial system to ensure rights protection of transgender persons in the absence of a comprehensive law enacted by the legislature.
