A group of Buddhist monks on a 2,300-mile "Walk for Peace" reached Richmond, Virginia, on Monday, marking their 100th day on the road. The monks, who passed through Metro Atlanta in late December, held a public rally at Richmond City Hall after walking from a local fire station. Starting in Texas, the pilgrimage is set to conclude in Washington, D.C., later this month. Supporters continue to join the silent, mindful march to promote global compassion and nonviolence.
