Inspire IC1.5 vs Echelon EX15 / Echelon CONNECT SPORT bike - Which is better?

The Echelon connect sport (aka Echelon EX-15 ) and Inspire IC1.5 indoor cycle from costco are two highly popular diy peloton bike alternatives to use the peloton digital app with, and upon request I created this comparison video between these two budget indoor bikes to show you the major differences and similarities as well as some of the subtle nuances between the two. The costco Inspire fitness ic1.5 is not a bad bike all around, the drive train feels pretty good and the maximum resistance is acceptable. The seat is a little bit wobbly when on the max height setting, and the battery tends to turn the machine off if unattended for a short period of time which made reviewing the two bike difficult but in a normal ride you shouldn't have too much issue with this I wouldn't think. The Echelon connect sport bike, called the Echelon EX-15 on amazon, is a very popular and highly rated peloton alternative, and it was my first indoor bike. The maximum resistance on the two machines is pretty close, but i do think the echelon ex-15 has a bit more resistance on the top end, both of the drive trains feels really smooth and nice to ride. The echelon connect sport bike has an enclosed flywheel which prevents items from getting stuck in the flywheel and also prevents sweat and dust from accumulating in the drive train.


Overall each bike is pretty good, they both have their own advantages and disadvantages. One thing i forgot to mention is the echelon bike can be conveniently ordered on amazon and delivered straight to your front door for free with a amazon prime membership, so if you have a small car and cannot fit the large inspire fitness ic1.5 box in your car it may be easier to order a bike online and have it delivered. This was actually the case for me, I had to order the inspire online for full price since it wouldn't fit in my car, but when i ordered the echelon bike ex-15 online it shipped in 3 days i think and shipping was free, so i didn't have to worry about transportation and still got the same price as listed online.


The bottom line for me is a prefer the echelon ex-15 for the simple reasons i mention at the end of my video marked in the time stamp, however, both of these bikes are good, but not the only two indoor cycling bike alternatives to a peloton bike.
