Lady Diana Spencer became the center of public life after her engagement and subsequent marriage to Prince Charles of the United Kingdom. To the world their marriage seemed to be a fairytale, but to Diana it became torture. The couple had little in common and soon drifted apart, and after giving birth to 2 sons it seemed as if all love between them was lost. Diana's own popularity sadly enhanced this, as her husband grow jealous of her and returned to his former mistress. As Diana had to find her way in life she found admiration for her work as a humanitarian and became by far the most popular member of the Royal Family. Sadly it was this popularity that led to her untimely death on august august 31, 1997.

00:32-00:49 = The engagement and wedding of Charles and Diana.
00:49-01:03 = The early years of the marriage up to the births of William and Harry.
01:03-01:20 = In the subsequent years it would became clear the marriage was in trouble.

04:09-04:43 = Diana's final journey, we see flashes of her life as the car enters the tunnel under the Pont de l'Alma and hits a pillar, resulting in the death of Diana, Princess of Wales.
04:43-04:58 = In death Diana became known as "The People's Princess" and her funeral got worlwide media-coverage, just like her marriage 16 years earlier.
