Vancouver Island Camping, backroads, and backcountry adventures on Vancouver Island — this trip has it all. Cave, huge old growth trees and waterfalls. We start by exploring a mysterious cave that is occasionally submerged in water, where we find wood wedged about 12 feet high in a crack — carried there only by the river’s force.
Next, we send the drone up over some giant trees, capturing incredible backcountry views. While flying, we notice an open area near the forest and explore it closer from the sky to uncover what it really is.
The day wouldn’t be complete without cooling off — so we go river swimming in the clear waters of Vancouver Island, and finally hike to a beautiful hidden waterfall tucked away in the backroads wilderness.
