*Something I would like to adjust/address*
You may refer to my critical range video, for gunner TMG's ideal range to play at.
You don't have to play at close range as in not point blank like PSO2, to me it seems ok to have some space between the enemy and your character.

For popping the chain, as I mentioned in the video that Bullet Rave is a good PA to do so.
It's true to a degree that you may use it on a moving enemy, at the end you may even follow up with a weapon action to additional damage.
I would also like to add that when your target is stationary, you may do Close Bullet into 4 weapon action, gives you a pretty high burst damage. Try avoid using this rotation when your enemy is moving a lot, seeing you may miss your shots, it's a big DPS loss.
