Bush-hogging drone footage!
This video contains excellent drone shots as well as an explanation of why and how we cut hay with a bushhog by an owner of Porter Creek Farms.
As cows age, their teeth wear down and fall out, making it difficult to eat out of tight, stemmy hay bales. To account for this, Porter Creek Farms cuts the first hay of the season each year with a bushhog, which chews up the grass and makes it a lot easier for our cattle to eat. The cows appreciate it!
