Dahab is a place, unlike any other, where time seems to stop and everything slows down, just a little. It has an energy and feel about it which is difficult to put in words. I’m not sure if it’s the sea, the wind, the eclectic shops and cafes or the easygoing nature of the people which mix and mingle with sleepy street animals which are well taken care of. Perhaps it’s all of it. It’s not a fancy place. It’s not luxe nor refined. It’s raw, rough around the edges and somehow absolutely perfect just as it is.
