A decorated former SAS soldier has been charged with murder of an Afghan man while on tour in Uruzgan Province in 2012.
This is the first time that an Australian serviceman or veteran has been charged with a war crime under Australian law.

It comes after a years long investigation into alleged war crimes in Afghanistan.
The probe was launched after the ABC's Four Corners program revealed footage of the ADF raid in which the soldier shoots a man lying on the ground.
