Recipe for chocolate version:
1 stick of butter, softened to room temp
4 oz of cream cheese, softened to room temp
1 egg
Vanilla (measure with your heart or like a 1/2 tsp)
1 box of chocolate cake mix
add ins: dark chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, crushed candy canes and optional peppermint bark

Preheat oven to 350
Cream butter and cream cheese together until smooth, then scrap down the sides. Add 1 egg and vanilla and mix until smooth (again) and then scrape down the sides (again). Add box of cake mix and mix until combined. Stir the add ins by hand.
Use ice cream scoop to make balls and bake for 13-17 minutes. Timing depends on your oven and how big you make the cookies. The bigger ones take closer to 16/17 minutes, but keep an eye on them.
You can also put the dough in the fridge until you're ready to bake.

Super simple and super tasty!
