Part one of an amazing trip to coastal North Carolina with Dad! We had a great time and saw some amazing animals and places. The main goal of the trip was to find a Kingsnake on the outer banks where they were formerly recognized as a unique subspecies, the Outer Banks Kingsnake (Lampropeltis getula sticticeps). The turtles tried to steal the show in this one though, with beautiful Spotted Turtles showing up in abundance and a dramatic encounter with a Common Snapping Turtle and a recently captured Killdeer.
