Fake Cop Bodycam Arrest - Felon impersonates Edmonds Police Detective

Описание: In this bodycam footage, we review the arrest of Michael Scaletta-Teates, a convicted felon who was caught brazenly impersonating an Edmonds Police detective. This incident occurred on September 5th in Bremerton, Washington, when the 49-year-old suspect arrived at an active police scene driving an unmarked Ford Explorer equipped with blue police lights.

Scaletta-Teates was dressed in a dark uniform with a tactical vest that prominently displayed a metallic Edmonds Police badge and patches with "POLICE" and "SWAT" logos . He identified himself to officers as "Mezzy Scaletta," an off-duty detective. However, upon investigation, the Bremerton Police discovered that he was actually a security guard for a nearby business and had been performing law enforcement acts in the downtown area. He was also found to be a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm and a "large amount" of police equipment, leading to his arrest on charges of first-degree criminal impersonation and second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm.

The truth revealed that the badge he displayed was a homemade "Frankenbadge," his claims of being an officer were entirely false, and most shockingly, he was a convicted felon with a history of crimes including a bomb hoax conviction in North Carolina. When officers ran his background, they discovered he was a felon in unlawful possession of a firearm found during his arrest, along with a significant amount of unauthorized police equipment.
