The last 24 miles of the Buffalo are about as rugged landscape you'll find, with miles of river and wilderness to explore. Including streams, creeks, and trails that go away from the river into areas that have never seen another person. It's surrounded my wilderness that totally isolates you from civilization.
I'll also talk about the Dan Durston Drop UL tent, a cool set up for this type of off-the-grid adventures. Walk through how I film for weeks in the wilderness and explain the tactics used to target smallmouth bass on this trip. I was super impressed with the x-mid drop. My buddy used it as a tent when there was sand available. When we had gravel, he removed the tent, but used the fly and bug netting with a cot to sleep covered from the rain and protected from the bugs. A really cool design that I think is great for gravel bar camping and backpacking in general! The cot makes it more of a kayak/car/boat campong option. This is part 2 of the trip...find the link to part 1 below. It's day 3 and start on the Buffalo and finish at Ships Ferry on the White River on day 4. Find the Amazon link to the Dan Durston Drop X-Mid tent below (I am not affiliated with Amazon in any way - it's exclusively sold thru them so I linked it)
Drop Dan Durston X-mid ultralight tent: FYI: Was told...The new batches start at $220. After they are produced and sold 3rd party sellers jack up the price until a new batch is produced...right now almost $400. But in a few weeks it will be back to $220.
