Identity 'Crisis'?

We need to shift the narrative, when a person goes through a period of uncertainty or confusion, we name it as a crisis of the identity. Crisis is defined as. a time of intense difficulty or danger. There’s nothing dangerous about change. It should be welcomed. Why, as a society, do we screw our face when someone changes the way they dress, the music they listen to, their view on life - why is it that someone can’t change their previous perception of an experience?

Your belief system is there to be challenged, 95% of who you are by your mid 30’s is hardwired programming. unconscious patterns of thought, emotion, and behaviour are reinforced and repeated until they become automated. So, what, the very thing you’ve been doing since your teens you HAVE to continue to do due to societal pressures of conformity.

No way, we can’t live like this, in fear of being banished because of what you previous felt you feel no more. Take control, embrace change, painful? Yeah. But I daren’t live with with the pain of being someone I’m not to placate people I barely know for a plastic crown of validation - I suggest you do the same
