Описание: The Cook Report on Hillsborough told the story through the eyes of one bereaved mother, Anne Williams, a tireless campaigner for justice. It was the first programme on TV to dispute the generally accepted line that the disaster in 1989 was caused by drunken Liverpool fans.

It gave the lie to the police version of events, challenged the coroner’s handling of the original inquests and confronted the police Chief Superintendent in charge on the day. Very gradually the tide turned, the original inquest verdicts of accidental death were overturned and after the Hillsborough Independent Inquiry in 2012, the families of the 96 victims had the truth – but shamefully, thirty years on, no one has been legally held to account for the worst sporting tragedy in British history.
