This Small weld in feature (SF11) has been designed and made by Glen Jones from
www.theboilershop.com.au
This is not a physical item, NO PHYSICAL WILL BE SHIPPED, this item is a digital download, and the item is a dxf format CNC cutting file which has been drawn with AutoCAD software. This weld in feature is designed as a classy feature to highlight unique steel work such as a gate, a fence panel or an internal metal work feature.
You can only purchase the dxf file from my webpage www.theboilershop.com.au
CNC Cutting metal shapes - For the highest precision finish when cutting metals I suggest that the parts are cut using the laser cutting process.
CNC Cutting HDPE plastic spacers –These plastic items need to be cut using the water jet cutting process, note that many laser cutting services can also cut items using the water jet process as well.
Bolts & Screws Required – All bolts, set screws, nuts & washers used are Stainless steel.
Welding requirements – The Small weld in feature backing plate is welded into the desired location, then the parts are sent off for painting, the surface / cover plate is screwed to the base plate after painting.
Stainless steel grade – Stainless steel grade 316 is considered the superior grade for outdoor use although I have found grade 304 to be sufficient in coping with atmospheric corrosion. To keep all finished metal work both painted and polished in good condition, it is best practise to annually wipe down the metals with a rag soaked in inox, WD40 or CRC.
