Hiking to Falls Branch Falls – Cherokee National Forest (Tellico Ranger District)
In this video, we hit the trail to Falls Branch Falls, a hidden gem tucked away in the Citico Creek Wilderness off the Cherohala Skyway. The hike is about 2.6 miles round trip, winding through old forest roadbeds before dropping steeply into a lush gorge. At the end, you’re rewarded with a stunning 70-foot waterfall surrounded by mossy rocks and thick forest. 🌲💦
The trail isn’t long, but the final descent can be steep and slick, so good shoes are a must. Parking is limited and facilities are nonexistent, making this one feel wild and remote—exactly what makes it so special. If you’re chasing waterfalls in East Tennessee, Falls Branch Falls is absolutely worth the adventure!
