Nagarjuna was a renowned Indian Buddhist teacher-practitioner, widely considered to be the founder of the Middle Way philosophical school. The Precious Garland is his personal, practical 500-verse guide to an unnamed monarch on how to live and rule within the Buddhist view for the welfare of his people, to attain fortunate rebirths and, ultimately, full awakening.
