In this video, we explain in simple language what the new Pay Commission will do, who its members are, when it will submit its report, and how it will affect Central Government employees and pensioners.

👉 The 8th CPC will be a temporary body consisting of one Chairperson, one Part-time Member, and one Member-Secretary.
👉 It will submit its recommendations within 18 months from its constitution date.
👉 The recommendations are expected to take effect from 1st January 2026.

The Commission will consider key factors such as: The economic condition of the country and fiscal prudence. Availability of resources for development and welfare.
The cost of non-contributory pension schemes. Impact on State Governments.
Comparison with Public Sector and Private Sector pay structures. This decision will directly impact over 50 lakh Central Government employees and 60 lakh pensioners across India.
