Blackmagic Design Showcases ATEM 2 M/E Constellation and Advanced Panel at NAB New York 2022.

Powerful live event HD switching, supporting up to 20 individual 3G/HD-SDI inputs built into a 1 RU chassis, is at hand with the Blackmagic Design ATEM 2 M/E Constellation HD Live Production Switcher. Supporting 3G-SDI and HD-SDI signals, the switcher connects to a wide range of cameras and sources, delivering program output via 12 3G-SDI BNC outputs or a webcam output via USB Type-C. In addition, the switcher has two multiview outputs with up to 16 routable windows that can display inputs, keyed video, graphics, and stills from the media pool, as well as the program output. Each input connects to a built-in Fairlight audio mixer supporting up to 48 channels of audio.

The ATEM Constellation HD includes a wide range of broadcast-quality native transitions such as mix, dip, wipe, and more. All transitions can be customized in the system control menus with adjustments for border color, border width, position, direction, and a lot more. The ATEM Constellation switcher includes a powerful digital video effects processor for DVE transitions, which can be used to squeeze the current picture offscreen, revealing a new video under it. The DVE can even be used to create graphic wipe transitions. To eliminate errors, ATEM Constellation HD features a preview transition feature so you can set up your transitions before you switch it on air.

The ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel is a highly sophisticated advancement of previous panel models as a companion to separately available professional ATEM switchers from Blackmagic Design. Using features such as high-quality buttons, knobs, fader bars, and a 3-axis joystick, you'll be able to customize the extensive panel to your precise needs.
Complex live productions require a versatile control panel, and the ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel allows you to customize, monitor, and switch your live broadcast events with features such as camera switching, executing transitions, fades, DVE effects, and it also sports 8 on-air indicators. The panel features two rows of M/E with 20 input buttons per row, two system control LCDs, independent LCDs for custom labeling of every row and button, 20 direct cross points, 40 shifted cross points, two preview transitions, and various DSK transition selectors such as Auto, Cut, and Tie/Preview.

The ATEM 2 M/E Advanced Panel connects to the switcher via 10/100/1000 BaseT Ethernet, and there are four Ethernet loop outputs for connecting to another panel or to a media-management computer. The panel receives firmware updates via its USB Type-C input.
