Описание: Llywelyn ap Gruffydd (c. 1223–1282), the last native Prince of Wales, was killed in an ambush near Cilmeri, close to Builth Wells, during the second phase of Edward I of England’s conquest of Wales (1282–83). His death marked the end of independent Welsh princely rule and led directly to the complete English annexation of Wales.
